Yeah, a lot of fans of the games will be/are angry about the choices throughout the whole movie series, but the movies are considered NON-CANON. For example, they killed off Leon in the second movie, which gave no chance for him to ever appear in the movies. It doesn't really matter that it's going to be in 3D, because they turned the world into some zombie overridden hell that leaves no chance for anything that makes sense to happen. An army of Alices?
