During my trip to Japan I visited a Namco themed mall amusement park! Namjaland takes up 2 stories of the Sunshine 60 mall.

With limited knowledge of the Japanese language I’m unsure of some of the things that the place offered but they had many different places to eat (including an ice cream museum) , a massage/relaxation area, and some weird ghost catching game.

One of my favorite things about this place (besides the cute cat art everywhere) was the way they set up their food!

The ghost hunting area was really cool and freaky

If you were one of the many this weekend that headed out to see Alice in Wonderland this weekend then 1. I hope that you checked it out in 3D and 2. you might have noticed the lack of zombies.

If you prefer your Alice stories to contain more zombies in them then maybe this book will make you happy.

Not only is there finally a Resident Evil premium theme available on Xbox Live, but there is one based off of the infamous Spencer Mansion! I downloaded it the other day and checked it out, it is totally approved for being worth the 240 MS points. Yea, there is also a Kijuju but I am all about the mansion one.

These tees will run you 35 Euro’s (about $48 bucks) and while that might seem pricey for some, keep in mind that these shirts are very limited and very awesome. It’s important that you remember the awesome part.

There is actually a 3rd LA zombie shirt but I liked these two best .

All of the updates have centered on zombie related things so far, so why not keep it going?

Nicholas Endean has gone out of his way to make his own Resident Evil Monopoly, with his own printed board and everything. Sometimes people are bigger fans of things than I can ever imagine being possible. With that said, if you are interested in how this project came to be, he’s created a whole 24-page post detailing all the little details of the process. You can find it below.

In additional zombie related news… Today at the X10 gaming conference, Microsoft announced August 31st, 2010 as the North American release date for Dead Rising 2.  With a staggered international release of September 2nd for Japan and hitting September 3rd for Europe.

And as if that wasn’t swell enough news it’s being reported that a prologue to DR:2 titled “Dead Rising 2: Case Zero” will be available as exclusive XBox Live DLC sometime shortly prior to the street date.

Seeing as the original Dead Rising was one of the premiere reasons I pined for and eventually purchased a 360 in the first place, suffice to say I can’t wait for the sequel.

Earlier this week Famitsu revealed the presence of Rebecca Chambers and Barry Burton (of Resident Evil: Zero & REmake fame respectively) as playable characters in RE5:GE’s Mercenaries Reunion Mode, and today Joystiq brings the video. Admittedly I’m far from finishing a first complete play through of RE5, but the Gold Edition is definitely making all the right moves towards getting me to bump this game back to the top of my queue.

I don’t know much about this other than it being directed by Ben Hibon and produced by Bernie Goldmann (of Land of the Dead, 300 fame). Loved 300 did not love Land of the Dead, actually, I hate the term ’sky flower’ with a fiery passion as a result of that movie.

I’d really love to see an animated zombie flick, hope to see this soon.

Dang there are so many games I need/want to play!

Vampire Origins is a hot new 3D shooter, an isometric adventure title coming to the iPhone and iPod Touch.

The game pits Dracula’s arch-rival Van Helsing against legions of underworld creatures. If you fancy Gothic adventures paired with intense fighting, Vampire Origins will boil the blood in your veins.

If you’ve ever played Diablo, you’ll feel right at home with Vampire Origins. A simple battle system ditches complex inventory and weaponry in favor of a point-and-click approach of attacking creatures by tapping them. It may sound boring on paper, but the fast-paced action balances things out. Fast, very agile enemies leave you little time to ponder your next move or marvel Gothic architecture. Although Vampire Origins is an adventure, with some puzzles and lots of exploration, action and killing enemies come before everything else.
