During my trip to Japan I visited a Namco themed mall amusement park! Namjaland takes up 2 stories of the Sunshine 60 mall.
With limited knowledge of the Japanese language I’m unsure of some of the things that the place offered but they had many different places to eat (including an ice cream museum) , a massage/relaxation area, and some weird ghost catching game.
One of my favorite things about this place (besides the cute cat art everywhere) was the way they set up their food!
The ghost hunting area was really cool and freaky
You can check out all of the pics that I took in Namjatown in this slideshow
When everything is set in place, I started working on cheese and seaweed parts. I usually make cheese and seaweed parts at the very end because cheese dries out or melts and seaweed absorbs moisture pretty fast. I used sliced cheese for the band around the hat on Hatty and for Golden Whale’s mouth. Then I took the dyed kamaboko out of the bowl, washed it and cut it for his tears. For their eyes and Hatty’s mouth I cut seaweed.
This bento is based off of characters from Behemoth’s upcoming game ‘Battle Block Theater’. The creator of the bento above also make this awesome looking Moogle pork bun!

Not only can you find more pics at Anna the Red, but you can also check out her how to guide on the tasty looking stuff pictured above.
I’ve been looking all over the net for things to check out and look for while out in Japan and spotted this on the Capcom Unity board.
I would like to find Poire and see if they have any of these delicious looking Monster Hunter treats!
Sadly if what I see on the Poire site is right then these tasty eats will be released on the 28th and I will be home by then. Either way, they are still very cute looking!
If you enjoy tacos then there is a good chance you’ll love these late night taco flavored Doritos. They are pretty damn tasty.
Go look for them at a deli near you, and when you don’t find them there keep looking because they are still a bit hard to come across but totally worth the search
Thanks to Forest who convinced me to try these even though I wasn’t hungry at the time.
While daydreaming at night a friend pointed out this pizzeria to me because of its use of the popular Italian plumber on it’s sign.
The place is new so I don’t know if they serve good pizza, but seeing Mario made me curious. I would be eating there daily if this was an official Nintendo joint but it’s not so…
Even though the recipe for these Fallout 3 Vault Boy cookies are sugar cookies I imagine that it can easily be swapped out for gingerbread ones. I also think that a gingerbread vault boy cookie would make for an epic holiday gamer treat.
I know people that could eat pizza every day if you’d let them, and you might know a few people like that too. This pizza blanket is something perfect to show them that they might have an addiction to pizza in a very hilarious way.
This custom blanket runs for $75 and you can even get a pizza slice pillow to go along with it for an additional $40. You can order them here.
If pretty much every celebrity has their own fragrance then I guess it’s about time video game characters get their own too.
Spray some of it and see how peach fades into a cool aqua green leaf. The faint scent is subtle enough not to be obstrusive but strong enough to linger. It is suitable for both the action people and the elegant ones. This is sold in the 2009 Tokyo Game Show and is a rare collectible that true fans of the franchise could not miss.
If this smells anything like their potions taste then I’d suggest not wearing it and only purchasing it for decorative purposes.
Yes, I tried the potion… I was curious.
Lightning’s perfume comes out in January 2010 and will sell for about $80, order here.
