As I sit in the theater last night waiting for the midnight showing of Sherlock Holmes to begin the guy next to me told his girlfriend “You’re going to fucking love this movie, you get to see Robert Downey Jr’s face”.

While I personally enjoyed the movie I don’t credit it to just seeing Robert Downey Jr’s face, I thought it was a fun movie that was shot really well.
There were a lot of liberties taken with the characters, but I found the changes made to be forgivable because the movie was damn entertaining.

The end.

I saw Sherlock Holmes earlier today. While the movie over all was entertaining I felt at times it tried too hard to be a hip modern update to the character.

I also would have liked to have seen a little more back story to the holmes/Watson friendship.

I saw it last night and it was good. Too bad my sweetie fell asleep during it. Poor thing was dead tired from early mornings all week.

I did anyone else see the huge relationship/personality parallel between Holmes and Watson, and House and Wilson? God, it was like an bad ass episode of House in the 1800s at times.

@: Given that House is something of an homage to Holmes anyway, that’s not too surprising.

Good to see that the movie was well received; I look forward to seeing it tomorrow!
