See the picture above? That’s Wentworth Miller, and he is going to be playing Chris Redfield in next Resident Evil movie installment Resident Evil Afterlife. Bellow is Shawn Roberts, he’s going to be playing Wesker.
Nothing against the actors, but the more I hear about the movie the less hope I have for it not to be something that makes me so angry I throw things. Though, I guess I should be happy that they didn’t cast Channing Tatum as Chris Redfield.
Ali Larter will be reprising her role as the worst Claire Redfield, but we can all breathe a sigh of relief because K-Mart will also be returning!
At least the movie will be in 3-D.
(again, nothing really against the actors because my dislike for the movie series is mostly towards its craptacular story.)
Really disappointing, i wonder if the people who’ve choosen these actors have played to the videos games or if they simply don’t care about what the gamers will think…
in the first game of the series, wesker was 38 years old. Shawn Roberts don’t look so old and his face just seems to be inapropriate to play wesker. I think the actor Barry Pepper would have been a better choice for playing Wesker in the movie…
bah, it’s hollywood. Sometimes they have a good idea, like the choice of angelina jolie for be Lara croft in tomb raider, but with the resident evil series, they do mistakes…
i hope they will not take madonna for play the character of Rebecca chambers in the next movie…
I too liked Angelina Jolie as Lara Croft, they looked so much alike I don’t see anyone else being able to play her.
I personally would like to see James Marsters play Wesker

i know, video game movies do tend to suck most of the time.
There’s no true copy of Chris so most of us will have to bear though the movie with wentworth. He’s actually a somewhat decent choice (if you don’t watch PrisonBreak)

Other than Mila being in the movie series their is no other reason to watch any of these movies. I tried to like RE: Extinction and Apocalypse just for the sake of me being a BIG RE fan, but I couldn’t. As far as casting goes, I liked the choice of Jill Valentine in RE: Apocalypse. And didn’t RE: Extinction have Wesker at the end? Just get that actor back.

It doesn’t matter who they choose to play the characters in the movie, they all end up looking like bad cosplayers – as seen with Wesker at the end of Extinction.
Yeah, a lot of fans of the games will be/are angry about the choices throughout the whole movie series, but the movies are considered NON-CANON. For example, they killed off Leon in the second movie, which gave no chance for him to ever appear in the movies.
It doesn’t really matter that it’s going to be in 3D, because they turned the world into some zombie overridden hell that leaves no chance for anything that makes sense to happen. An army of Alices? No thank you.
Hey, as buff as they made Chris in RE5, just be glad they didn’t bring in the Governator to play him.
As for Wesker, I can’t think of any actors that could do the character justice, as far as looks OR personality. So, since I can’t come up with anything better, Shawn Roberts it is.
I’d like to see James Marsters as Wesker, just throwing that out there.
I dont mind that actor as Chris anymore.
