So I just came in from seeing Speed Racer and in short I really dug it, it’s really too bad that it had a disappointing box-office opening. So if you haven’t seen it then you should find some time in the near future to check it out.

The pic above is one I took a few days ago of some random car that I saw sporting Speed’s Mach ‘5′.

That’s supposed to be Goku from the upcoming live action take on the Dragon Ball/DBZ  anime/manga series, but so far it looks like a hot mess. I will probably end up seeing this movie in theaters, most likely not by my own free will but by being dragged by a friend who is a huge fan of the series.

If you really dislike Princess Peach for having you go from castle to castle searching for her then I guess this painting was made just for you. As you can see in the picture of the painting above she catches it pretty brutally, and that plant looks like he’s already eaten someone. Luigi perhaps? It’s a little on the expensive side for me personally but maybe someone out there has the loot for it. For more information check here.

Iron Man was a pretty awesome film and apparently Speed Racer didn’t stand much of a chance against it this weekend. Iron Man pulled in another 50 mil while Racer only pulled in a little over 20, Racer just barely beat out the romantic comedy (?) What Happens in Vegas. I still haven’t seen Speed Racer but I was told by 3 very awesome gents that I should go see it, so later on tonight I think I will be checking it out in IMAX.
