Happy Halloween!
It’s Halloween! YEY! I’m home feeling sick, I guess its all that warm to cold back to warm weather we’ve been having. It’s all good though because I get to finally play Naruto: Rise of the Ninja, so what better way to say ‘Happy Halloween’ then with this awesome Naruto Halloween picure?

Have a Happy Halloween folks!
Making a Bento
Yesterday morning I got up early and made myself a bento lunch box filled with yummy food.

Here we have lemon roasted chicken with rosemary potatoes and some tasty garlic spinach. Yumm!

Now Playing: Dementium

I picked this up on Friday after is snuck out there, I thought it was coming out this Wednesday but was pleasantly surprised when I got a call from my local EB informing me that they had my copy in.
Much like every other time I share my thoughts on something I just want to keep it short and to the point… ok well sometimes I like to ramble but I will try to make this one as quick and painless as possible.
The game is not visually stunning but thats mostly due to hardware limitations, the area’s you can explore are pretty big but they all look the same. I’m pretty sure that there are only 3 door types in the entire game. For a hospital that run down there sure are a lot of doors with the word maintenance on them.
The sound is what is supposed to bring on the suspense borrowing from the Silent Hill series there seems to be a fuzzy sound when enemies near by, but maybe I’m just hearing things. There are also the sounds of the creatures that are hiding in the dark that lets you know you have to get ready to either run or get ready to hit something with a stick… really hard.
Though being that this is a portable system unless you’re wearing a headset or are in a quiet room you won’t be able to hear much.
The game is extremely dark, you won’t be able to see anything unless you have your flashlight equipped but you might not feel safe unless you have a weapon handy instead.
Now on to the controls, you aren’t on rails like in Touch the Dead (another DS horror title) you’re able to move around on your own. You move your character using the D-pad and you look around using the touch screen. It’s pretty easy to get used to.
You attack using the left trigger but its pretty hard to dodge luckily there is plenty of health around because the deeper you get into the game the more you are going to get hit.
One very important thing you need to remember while playing is to save, saving might boot you to the title screen but if you don’t you’ll have to start at the beginning of the chapter when you die. The first 2 chapters fly by quickly but after that saving will become a close friend of yours.
The story is a bit slow you don’t know who you are or why you are alone in this abandoned hospital. You just wake up and well it seems as if you may have done something wrong to someone, which was probably pretty bad if you get stuck there.
So now to bring my thoughts to an end. While the game won’t stand in the same waters as horror classics such as Fatal Frame, Silent hill or Resident Evil but a lot of its flaws are forgivable because its on a handheld, it’s still worth checking out if you have a DS.

This weeks game releases
Being that this week is such an awesome week with lots of releases I figured I’d post the releases today instead of tomorrow. Most people are excited for Guitar Hero 3 and while I am also the games that I’m anticipating most is Naruto: Rise of the Ninja for the 360 and Disgaea or PSP which come out this Wednesday.

Guitar Hero 3 Ps2, PS3, 360, Wii- 10/29
Manhunt 2 PSP, PS2, Wii - 10/29
Disgaea: Afternoon of Darkness 10/31
Simpsons (On everything) 10/30
Timeshift 360- 10/31
Virtua Fighter 5 360- 10/31
Viva Pinata: Party Animals 360- 10/31
This is going to be one helluva broke week for me with a handful of games plus other essentials like toys and food… and rent. But at least I have Naruto. I’ll post the movie releases tomorrow.
